Razputin “Raz” Aquato
Psychonauts

Inspiration: Raz is the lead character of the game Psychonauts, a game revolving around using psychic abilities to explore the strange and imaginative minds of various characters.  Tom and I really enjoyed the game, so we decided to make costumes from it.  He picked cool and calculating Sasha Nein and I went with the friendly, outgoing Raz.  The costumes were easy to put together and it was a lot of fun to act as these characters.

Materials/Construction Details: I purchased an old pilot’s helmet and painted the red design on it.  I also bought the brown corduroy pants and matching jacket along with brown leather gauntlet gloves and red goggles.  I took a green ribbed turtleneck sweater and fabric painted the unevenly spaced dark green stripes on it.  The brown bag was painted and cut to the correct shape.  The skill badges were printed out and glued onto the bag.

Prop:  I made a piece of bacon out of cardboard.  Why?  Well Raz uses it as a communication device when he needs help from the old man in his head.  It’s a very special game.
