Suikoden 3

Inspiration: Because I love Suikoden so much, I have made it a goal of mine to cosplay at least one person from each of the Suikoden games. From Suikoden 3 I chose Chris because she’s a strong, respectable female lead. Plus I love this outfit!

Materials/Construction Details: Making the jacket was the first priority for me. I found a great olive green knit material for this costume, but because I wanted the jacket to have more thickness to it, I sandwiched a layer of fleece between two layers of the knit.To get all the details on the front of the jacket, I made a ton of 3/8″ bias tape out of the same knit and used Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Permanent Adhesive to attach it. I also used several hidden stitches in various places just to be sure it wouldn’t come off. Rather than wearing a ruffly shirt underneath, I made ruffles and attached them directly to the sleeves and collar.

The skirt is a simple circle skirt with a serged hem and elastic waistband. I bought jeggings and sewed a line of piping into the front. The belt is made out of vinyl and I used a woodburner/soldering iron to make the holes in the belt.

Wig: This wig is a Le Tigre in Silver from Arda Wigs. I shortened the wig with a straight cut in the back and trimmed in some bangs in the front.
